Stop Smoking – We Can Quit

You are four times more likely to stop smoking for good if you have help. You will also be over €6,100 richer a year if you quit smoking 20 cigarettes a day. That’s before we discuss the health, wellbeing and fitness benefits.

Quitting smoking is difficult. You may have tried to quit before, but we are here to help you get there for good.

How can we help you stop smoking?

We Can Quit is a free programme that works on what triggers smoking for you. If you smoke when you’re stressed, drinking, having cravings or anything else, our ex-smoker facilitators work through it with you. We look at eating healthy, managing stress and minding your mental health.

The group course lasts between 8 and 10 weeks. We will give you free patches or gum to help stop cravings while the moral support from the group really helps. These really increase your chances of giving up when used alongside the behavioural support of the group. You pick your quit date and we help you get there and stay there.

How successful is We Can Quit in Ballyfermot?

  • 8/10 of clients from a recent programme said it helped them stop smoking and stay quit
  • 8/10 said the support of the other group members really helped
  • 10/10 said they really enjoyed the course
  • 10/10 said the venue and location was really good
  • 10/10 said the support offered by the community facilitators was very good
  • 10/10 said that they now know more about the dangers of smoking
  • 6/10 said the support from the pharmacy was very good
