What We Do
Mental Health Support
We provide free counselling services so you can feel heard, supported and understood. Each client is entitled to 6 sessions with the counsellor. Each session lasts one hour.
Clients attend counselling for many different reasons including:
- Mental health concerns
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Serious health conditions and illness
- Trauma
- Drug and alcohol addiction
- Family issues and bereavement
Counselling is provided 3 days a week, on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday in a safe and therapeutic space. Our counsellors are experienced and Accredited Members of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Heads Up is a free education, training, and support programme for men who want to develop their mental and physical health, make social connections and plan for the future.
The programme is available in Dublin 8, 10 and 12. It runs for 12 weeks while shorter 6 week ‘taster’ courses are also available. Topics covered include positive wellbeing, physical activity and raising awareness of other local services and supports.

SPACE is a mental health programme that offers a variety of training to individuals and service providers. We encourage anyone from Ballyfermot who wants to support mental health in the community to get involved.
Training includes:
- Safe TALK
- ASIST
- Understanding self-harm
- Bereavement training for communities and professionals
- Mental health first aid
- WRAP
- Domestic violence response training
What are the aims of the SPACE programme?
- Engage young women in services that are available to them
- Target specific groups of young women in collaboration with existing service providers
- Look for areas of development within existing programmes to engage young women
- Engage services in the community
