Helping Hands Care & Repair
We provide a DIY service called Helping Hands. If you are over 55 or have a disability and need a hand with odd jobs around the house or garden, we can help you. Our team will visit you to take care of those small things that you can’t manage yourself.
The aim of Helping Hands is to enable you to remain independent in your home. The service is free of charge, we just ask that you supply any materials that may be needed. We cover Ballyfermot, Bluebell, Chapelizod, Islandbridge, Inchicore, Kilmainham and Rialto.
What can we help you with?
- Minor DIY jobs
- Gardening – Cutting the grass, hedge trimming, tidying up, etc.
- Minor decorating/painting jobs
- Moving furniture, hanging shelves and similar
- Hanging curtains
- Installing smoke alarms
- Changing light bulbs
Our team
The Helping Hands team is made up of handy men and women looking to gain work experience. They put their skills to use to benefit their local communities. Each person is Garda vetted and trained up to provide the support you need. If a job is too big, or beyond our expertise, we will refer you to a local tradesperson.
