What We Do

Education Networks

Childcare and education networks

Liffey Partnership understands that a coordinated and collaborative approach is essential to solve educational challenges in the area.

We bring educators together to share ideas, identify challenges, discuss policy changes, understand advocacy needs and create overarching strategies.

Liffey Partnership convenes two networks for school and adult education stakeholders and the D10 Childcare Network.

Childcare and education networks

The D10 Education Taskforce was established by education providers in Dublin 10 who recognised the need for a collaborative approach. With the support of the Liffey Partnership, the taskforce aims to promote an area-wide approach to addressing educational disadvantage in Dublin 10.

The D10 Education Taskforce develops collaborative approaches to tackling educational disadvantage through:

  • Early intervention and prevention
  • Sharing of information and expertise
  • Raising awareness of educational initiatives
  • Using and collecting qualitative and quantitative data

Members include Liffey Partnership staff, school principals, adult education providers, early education and youth service managers, parents and relevant stakeholders.

The D10 Childcare Network was initiated by the D10 Education Task Force due to the overwhelming need for togetherness in early years services. It serves as an information-sharing, training, and advocacy platform for Community Childcare Providers in Ballyfermot.

The Network aims to enhance Early Childhood Education practices and address legislative concerns collectively by:

  • Reviewing policy and practice change
  • Sharing best practices
  • Discussing legislative changes
  • Highlighting and conducting group staff training
  • Advocating for sectoral improvements

Members consist of Liffey Partnership staff, local Community Childcare service managers and staff, representatives from DCCC (Dublin City Childcare Committee), and other relevant professional.

Hearing the voice of important stakeholders in Dublin 10 is essential to responding to education disadvantage and issues. We would gladly welcome new voices and stakeholders.
