SUMMARY:Steps for Success
DESCRIPTION:The STEPS Programme\, was created by the Pacific Institute in response to the demand for practical educational material\, to assist an ever-increasing number of people who are trying to change their situation\, personally\, professionally or organisationally. It is based on up-to-date psychological cognitive concepts and presented in a down-to-earth form\, which is easy to understand\, and simple to apply. \nSTEPS – What it Does. \n\nIt teaches individuals to think differently about themselves\, their families\, their world and what they\, themselves\, can and cannot do.\nIt is designed to build real strength and to help people accomplish greater tasks and to tackle and solve critical problems.\nIt enables people to become independent\, self-directed and fully accountable.\nIt shows that the greatest barriers to success comes from inside ourselves and that by working through a series of concepts and techniques\, individuals discover that they have greater power to take charge of their future.\nIt energises individuals and teams to work constructively towards the vision.\n\nSTEPS – Key Concepts \nUnderlying the process of improved performance are several fundamental principles\, including: \n\nBeliefs and Performance\nHow Beliefs are Established\nLocus of Control\nSelf-Image and Comfort Zones\nMotivation\nVision and Current Reality\nNew Beliefs and New Performance – using Affirmations and Goal –Setting.\nSelf-Efficacy (our ability to cause things to happen).\n\nDates and Times: 8th September\, Mondays and Thursdays  from 2pm- 4:30pm. \nRegister with Lauren
