SUMMARY:We Can Quit - Stop Smoking
DESCRIPTION:We Can Quit is a free programme that works on what triggers smoking for you. If you smoke when you’re stressed\, drinking\, having cravings or anything else\, our ex-smoker facilitators work through it with you. We look at eating healthy\, managing stress\, and minding your mental health. \nThe group course lasts for 10 weeks. We will give you free patches or gum to help stop cravings while the moral support from the group really helps. These really increase your chances of giving up when used alongside the behavioural support of the group. DESCRIPTION:The Level 5 Community Addiction Studies Course\, run by Ballyfermot Drug and Alcohol Task Force\, will start up again on 22 September. Applications are open on our website. \n The course runs for 20 weeks and participants can expect the following:  \n\nLearn about drugs and their effects\nDevelop an understanding of addiction\nExamine own attitudes\nBecome more effective in personal responses\n         Develop the skills and knowledge to become more effective in responding to drug misuse in the community\n\n The details are:  \n Location:  Matt Talbot Community Trust\, 77 Colepark Drive\, Drumfinn\, Dublin 10\, D10 EH34 \nWhen: Tuesdays\, 5.30-8.30pm (with break)\, over 20 weeks\, Sep 2026 – March 2027 \nStart Date:  22 September 2026 \nCertification:  Through BRACE\, Ballymun. BRACE is registered with QQI (Quality and Qualifications Ireland).
